TaxPot Terms of Use

Last updated: 4 October 2026

These terms apply to your use of the TaxPot app, provided by Cre-aTuv Media, a sole trader based in the United Kingdom ("we", "us"). By using TaxPot you agree to these terms and to Apple's Licensed Application End User License Agreement (https://www.apple.com/legal/internet-services/itunes/dev/stdeula/), which also applies.

Estimates only, not tax advice

TaxPot gives estimates for planning purposes only. It uses published HMRC rates for the 2026/27 tax year (England, Wales and Northern Ireland) and the figures you enter. It does not take account of your full circumstances (for example other income, student loans, Scottish rates, payments already made or allowances you may claim). TaxPot is not tax, legal, accounting or financial advice, and it does not file anything with HMRC. You are responsible for your own tax affairs. Please check your figures with HMRC or a qualified accountant.

Your data

Your entries are stored on your device. You are responsible for keeping backups. See our Privacy Policy for details.

TaxPot Pro

TaxPot is free to download with optional paid features ("TaxPot Pro"):

Prices shown are UK prices and may vary by country. Payment is charged to your Apple Account when you confirm the purchase (or when a free trial ends). Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period, and your account will be charged for renewal within 24 hours before the end of the period. You can manage and cancel subscriptions in your device's Settings › Apple Account › Subscriptions. Any unused part of a free trial is lost when you buy a subscription. Refunds are handled by Apple under its policies.

Acceptable use

Don't misuse the app, reverse-engineer it, or use it for anything unlawful.

Liability

We work hard to keep TaxPot accurate, but we provide it "as is". To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for any loss arising from your use of the estimates, including tax, penalties or interest. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited under UK law, or your statutory rights as a consumer.

Changes and law

We may update these terms; the date above will change. These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales.
